Whoops, I kinda forgot about Blogger for a little bit, I am back though. I have had a pretty busy week.
I started doing hot yoga on Wednesday and have been back every day since. It is pretty hard and exhausting but I am starting to love it. I hope that by the end of the month I can tell a difference in my body. I have to go to the late class so I dont get home till even later but it is definitely worth it! I never realized how much work it is to fit working out into your schedule. On Friday I left work early, wrecked my car made it to work on time but ended up not getting in because they were too full. I was pretty bummed about that. My poor car has been through so much, the front bumper is pretty much ruined. I am gonna try to go to PullaPart and find a new to replace it with soon.
Friday and Saturday were really busy for me. I made really good money at work and everyone actually tipped me!! It was really exciting. I feel like I'm really starting to fit in at work. Saturday I had seven clients!! Needless to say I was running around like a chicken with its head cut off. After work I went to yoga then home where I quickly packed to go to Jess' house. Our washing machine is broken again so I gathered some of the mountain of dirty clothes to take with me. We as usual watched movies and goofed around, I love nights like those. They make my bitter little heart happy.
Sunday we pretty much stayed lazy till 2 when we went to go walk around the park which is always really fun. The cicadas are out in full force and I am really afraid of them so most of the time was spent trying to avoid them. Its funny how much your mind changes as you get older, when I was younger I LOVED cicadas. I had so much fun with the neighborhood kids catching them to collect in huge jars. Now they seriously creep me out!!
The rest of Sunday we spent watching crappy reality tv along with wrestling matches. I WON!!!! Sometimes I feel like we waste so much time just sitting around but we don't usually get to spend time with each other unless its on the weekends so I try to remind myself that its ok to not be busy 24/7.
Today I got my hair done, goodbye to that faded redish color that it was and hello to darker brown! The lady was super nice, young and very attentive to what I wanted to get done. I will definitely be going back to her which is a first!! I am a natural blonde but I really love love love my hair dark. It just feels more like me. Do yall like??

Wellp I am off to get ready for tonights workout! I hope yall have a good week, tell me about it sometime!!

Blah

This weekend was not too great. Friday night I attempted to go out Downtown but as usual when I get a Saturday off it rains on Friday. It quit raining for a small time but of course it ended up down pouring so we went back home to watch movies and eat Taco Bell. I swore off fast food for a good while so this was a bit of a treat.
The next day I went home and was supposed to hangout with various people all weekend but all ditched so I ended up staying home and pretty much reading and watching movies until Monday night when I went to Subway to see my friend Brittany. I waited around for 4 hours until closing time so we could hangout. It was nice to see someone different for a change. We went back to her house and stayed up till 3 talking about everything under the sun.
Man my whole weekend summed up into one paragraph am I sad or what?
Im hanging out with my mom now watching Second Hand Lions, one of my favorite movies ever. I really want to go ahead and go to sleep but its only 8 and Ill end up staying up the whole night if I do.
Tomorrow KaelahBee, EllWoodward and I will be going to our first Hot Yoga class...I admit I am really nervous. Ive never taken any kind of exercise class before and Ive never met those two ladies before. I am horribly shy but hopefully it will go well. I am hoping my friend Amanda will be coming too but she's busy tomorrow so it will have to be another day. We all bought one month memberships to the Hot Yoga place on Elliston so I am going to try my hardest to go everyday and make the most of it.
Yall wish me luck now ya hear?!

Something Borrowed

One of my co workers gave me a few books yesterday, one of them being something borrowed. I am only a couple of chapters in but its pretty good so far. I don't really know a whole lot about it, actually I didn't even know that its apparently a movie. I am so out of it lately, pretty much a certified old lady.

My mom made burgers today to celebrate my brothers ex girlfriends birthday...no one but my mom likes her, my brother isn't even home either. The only reason why I am here is to eat the free food. I really wish she would leave so I could walk around my house without feeling weird. Did I mention that she is turning 19 and my brother is 16...and she is still obsessed with him. How weird is that?! I would never ever date anyone a month younger then me and hes like 3 years younger then her. PLEASE GET OUT OF OUR LIVES CRAZY!!

Last night me and Jess were actually going to go out on a Friday night but like always when I have Saturday off it rained. We ended up walking around for a few minutes and leaving downtown. I hate leaving my favorite place in the world! We went back to his house and spent the night as usual watching movies. I am starting to get tired of this, I need action! I need adventure! I need another trip!! Or a party, a group of new friends SOMETHING!!!
My mom and I were going to go to Savannah, Georgia to see my sister this weekend but money ended up being to tight so it wasn't possible. I miss her so much, I need help convincing her to move back home. Maybe I just need to move I dont know.

Tortellini Deliciouso!

You know what?! I love to cook so heres another really amazing really easy reallllly delish recipe that I prolly cook way too often but I am addicted.

INGREDIENTS

2 packages of whatever delicious Tortellini you decide to buy or actually you can get however many/few you need. My family of 4 eats 2.
2 cans of Alfredo sauce...or you can make your own Ill add a recipe for that too
1 can of peas
6 strips of bacon

I don't eat pig actually so I use turkey bacon but you guys can use whatever you want. All you do is
 boil the pasta
throw the peas and sauce in
while that is reheating up microwave the bacon
add is all together and

whalah!!! An amazing delicious 20 minute meal!! Can yall tell I like pasta a lot yet?!

Heres the alfredo sauce I just found on on cooks.com

1/2 cup butter
1 pkg. (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 cup half and half
1/3 cup Parmesan cheese
1 tablespoon garlic powder (optional)
pepper, to taste

1. In a medium saucepan, melt butter.
2. Once butter is almost melted, add the package of cream cheese. It's easiest to cut it into 4 pieces so that it melts quicker.
3. Once butter and cream cheese are mixed well together, add the cup of half and half, Parmesan cheese, garlic powder, and then shake pepper on top. Stir all together until well mixed.
4. Once it's mixed well and saucelike, take it off the burner and set aside so it can thicken up. Stir every few moments.

Enjoy yall!!

Mother

I love mothers day. Again with the food and family!! I love my mommy!! She really is the greatest! I would be a lost mess without her. I got her really silly presents for today, a huge singing card, mom necklace, mom mug and a chain necklace. I think she liked them...or she could of been just saying that I dont know.
Me and my parents went over to my Aunt Kims to eat food with my dads parents. It was great, I never get to see them so it's good to get to hangout. We had tons of laughs and good food. Unfortunately everyone got so full and sleepy that it was cut short but maybe we will have a get together sooner rather then later. My grandparents are having a serious battle with wild life right now, they have a family of possums underneath their house. Gross I hate those creatures so much, they creep me out. They found a new hole from some kind of creature and filled with gas and lit it before leaving for our meal....not too much into the environment I know. They were born in a completely different time then us so I dont even try to change minds anymore.
Now, I ordered a pizza from Domino's, my mom is jacking my cross-stitch, our new neighbors are shooting off guns and my pops is about to go pick up the food, pretty good end to a pretty good day I would say.

Last night me and Jess went downtown to people watch as usual, we met a new friend Dustin. It was pretty stinking awkward but thats ok, its too be expected with me. We met a funny man who told us stories about his life in Nashville and I got a marriage proposal from a homeless man selling flowers...I said yes so he rewarded me with a small rose. He told me he loved me and scampered off, I think Jess got jealous which was kind of annoying cause he kept trying to get me to throw away the flower. Obviously if a rando homeless man is jokingly asking for marriage he is KIDDING!
Also yesterday at work I had a record of 9 clients!!! It was crazy I was running around all day long and best of all everyone actually tipped me. If everyday was a good money day like that i would be doing fine all right! And I know 9 prolly doesnt seem like a whole lot to yall but it actually takes up the whole day.
It really makes me laugh when people work few hours and make a ton of money but still complain about their jobs, don't they know they could be working a normal 40 hour a week/ minimum pay job?! Hello silly people get real! I only work 4 days a week but I work 9-10 hour days and work my ass off the whole time.

Cooking with Kelley

A few days ago I was watching Extra Virgin, which is a new show on the cooking channel, they were having a bachelor party and making Pasta Puttanesca...I am a huge Italian food nut so I of course had to make it. I  did change it up a little bit, I am not overly into measuring so I just kinda added whatever I wanted. I used Penne pasta instead of Spaghetti because I like the texture and canned tomatoes instead of fresh because I am lazy. Other then that I pretty much followed the recipe and it turned out better then I imagined. I am definitely adding this into my list of things I cook on the regular. I hope you guys enjoy it as much as I did. Also if you are afraid of the anchovies get over it and put them in anyways, I hate touching them but I did it and it was worth it!

INGREDIENTS

  • 1 pound ripe tomatoes or peeled tomatoes (if in a hurry)
  • 3 tablespoons extra-virgin olive oil, plus more for drizzling
  • 2 cloves garlic, sliced
  • 4 anchovy fillets
  • 2 ounces pitted and sliced black olives
  • 1 tablespoon salted capers, rinsed and chopped
  • Pinch crushed red pepper
  • 1 pound spaghetti
  • 1 handful fresh parsley, leaved picked and chopped
  • Kosher salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste

Bring a large pot of water to a boil.

Submerge the tomatoes in boiling water for 1 minute. Using a slotted spoon, remove the tomatoes.
INSTRUCTIONS
Peel the tomatoes and cut them open. Discard the seeds and cut the flesh into small cubes.
In a large nonstick pan heat about 3 tablespoons olive oil and saute together the garlic, anchovies, olives, capers, and red pepper flakes for about 3 to 4 minutes.
Add the tomatoes and let cook on a medium-low heat for about 10 to 15 minutes.
In a large pot of boiling salted water, cook the spaghetti about 2 minutes less than indicated on the box, drain and add to the sauce pan on a medium high flame, toss around for a couple of minutes or less, making sure the sauce is evenly distributed on the pasta.
Add a sprinkle of finely chopped parsley and a drizzle extra-virgin olive oil.

Notes
To stop the tomatoes from over cooking and to make peeling easier, submerge the hot tomatoes in ice water; drain.
Taste the sauce before seasoning with salt, as the anchovies and the capers play a big role in flavoring the Puttanesca.

Hooray

I finally finished my first cross stitch. I am pretty excited on it. Its so darn cute.

Tiny and precious. Right? My web cam actually makes it look kinda funny, I am starting on the blanket tomorrow.

Changing the subject back to babies, I finally got to see Aubrey yesterday. Shes like a tiny baby monkey. Babies are so bizarre to me in the best way. Her expressions change across her face so quickly I can hardly keep up. Gosh I felt so emotional holding her.

Dont you want to just squeeze her? Yes HELLOOOO!!!!

CrossStitch

The other day I bought a few cross stitch patterns to practice on and one huge blanket to make for my friends new baby. Needless to say I am a bit overwhelmed. I bought a tiny hedgehog pattern for myself which is coming along nicely but the blanket is a bit scary. My mom is going to help me on it though so hopefully it wont be too bad.

I finally got some more feathers for extensions so I am going to be doing those the next couple of days. I am excited. Whoever came up with those should get a cookie from me.

Thats pretty much all I have to report, I only got the weekend off this week instead of my normal 3 days and will prolly have to work 6 this week since one of my co workers needs to get her shit together.

More money for me right?!
