Since changing my job I am now an independent contractor aka I have no clue how to do my taxes so my dad helped me out with learning all that. Its pretty weird, I have to make myself remember to keep all my reciepts etc. Then while I had him in my clutches I decided to get him to help me with blog design as it completely confuses me. Obviously the page is different but also rather ugly so it wont stay that way for long mostly we had to change the previous layout to something else because the code was messed up and wouldnt allow us to make any changes. Um now I will shut up with my nerd speech.
Does it ever weird you guys out when someone in real life comments about something on your blog? I had a friend do that the other day and I will tell you its just something I feel like I wont get used to. Im like whaaat you read my boring silly blog...CRAZAAY!! I never realize that people notice me or know who I am. I always feel like a tiny blip on the worlds radar.
Anyways thats all for now. Ive been lurking this ladys blog and all her recipes. Of course I will be attempting to make those yummy looking cauldron cakes and working on my tummy! Wish me luck!!
yea i have family members say stuff like that and you know what i kinda like it. especially since we don't see each other very often so it is a chance for them to see what i am up to :)
ReplyDeletei am liking the colors of your layout, can't wait too see what else you do!
xo,

Mine are just very judgemental. I feel like I have to censor myself.
ReplyDeleteYou don't think the layout is too boring?
Almost every time I hang out with my friends, they're like, "CAN YOU COOK THAT _____ FOR ME?! I SAW IT ON YOUR WEBSITE!" Haha. I'm constantly like O_O about it. I whore the heck out of my site on Facebook and Twitter, but it still doesn't seem like anyone will notice! I kind of like it though. It makes me feel like someone's actually reading and like I'm not just writing for nothing!
ReplyDeleteAnd I know what you mean about feeling like you need to censor yourself. My boyfriend told me he showed his mom my site a few days ago so she could find something to make for dinner (boyfriend's mom taking recipes from me?! amazing!~) and I panicked and ran to my computer to make sure nothing bad was around, haha.
I don't have to worry much though. I don't want to have a lot of negativity cluttering up my blog, so I try to avoid those types of posts. Since I'm trying to focus on positives, it makes it easier to be proud of anything I put out and be like YEAH READ THAT, you know?
It's 4:30am and I'm rambling! :)
Also, aww, thank you for linking to me!!!! I added you to my blog page. ;) http://coffeeandchopsticks.com/blogs/
ReplyDeleteHaha, too bad we don't live closer. Id cook with you.
ReplyDeleteI feel self consious about people I know reading it. I should promote myself on fb and Twitter more then I get all oh no people are gonna read this and think I can't spell or write lol. Also I don't write like bad stuff but growing up with strict parents has made me paranoid.
Wow his mom reads your stuff!!! That's pretty cool! Ramble on, I like to read it!!!!
Alllsoo thank you!!! That's very nice of you. When I saw that recipe Im like I have to do that. It's perfect!!!
